AMS has been using Desana’s on-demand Network since 2021 and has enabled Network access across the UK, USA and Europe. To hear about how Desana has impacted their business, we caught up with Marcella, Global Head of Facilities at AMS. Marcella leads the company's global service centers, oversees the global facilities function and is accountable for managing AMS's property management portfolio alongside her global team.
AMS had a large number of remote employees working across client sites. Reduced in person collaboration was impacting connection to both colleagues and the wider business. This drove the need for a workplace model that supports remote employees and promotes an inclusive work culture.
AMS made the strategic decision to introduce Desana’s global network of on-demand workspaces, enabling employees to work from high quality flexible workspaces, wherever they’re located. Providing an adaptable work environment empowered employees to choose locations best suited their needs and preferences.
By offering this alternative to home working, AMS are supporting employee engagement, motivation, and overall well-being. Remote employees feel connected to the company culture and values and evolving work styles are easily accommodated alongside workforce preferences. The adoption of Desana also demonstrates AMS's commitment to creating a supportive work culture for all employees and providing them with the space they need to do their best work.
The Desana rollout has garnered positive feedback from employees. One testimonial is particularly poignant. An employee, after using workspace through Desana, called it a "life-changer”.
This anecdote highlights the transformative impact of flexible workspaces. They can improve employee well-being and quality of life. In addition to this case, many other employees have praised the new flexibility and variety of on-demand workspaces. They can work from different places that are customized to their preferences and needs on a given day. This has made employees feel empowered and improved their work-life balance.
The positive feedback demonstrates the initiative’s success in providing a more supportive and inclusive work environment for all employees, regardless of their circumstances. Making the Desana on-demand network available to employees has enabled AMS to support the well-being, mental health, motivation, and engagement of its employees. Individuals now have the flexibility to work in environments which resonate with their individual needs and preferences.
